Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Lythrum salicaria ‘Robert’

Clumping, erect, herbaceous perennial. Lance shaped leaves. Erect flower stems carry racemes of clear pink flowers in Summer.

Height & Spread: 0.7 x 0.5m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H7: < -20ºC.

Soil: Any, moist but well-drained to poorly-drained soil.

Light: Full-sun.

Native Range: Cultivar of UK Native.

CARE & BENEFIT 

Dead-head after flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in Spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects. Related to UK native. Probable food plant for around 50 UK invertebrates.
