Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Dianthus carthusianorum – German Pink

Variable, bushy, evergreen perennial. Linear basal leaves. Erect to lax stems bear dense clusters of reddish-magenta flowers through Summer.

Height & Spread: 0.5 x 0.5m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H7: < -20ºC.

Soil: Non-ericaceous, well-drained soil.

Light: Full-sun.

Native Range: Europe. 

Dead-head to encourage repeat flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects.
