Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Bistorta amplexicaulis – ‘Clent Charm’

Upright, clumping , herbaceous perennial. Mid green ovate pointed leaves with prominent veins. Long stalked spikes of small flowers described as “Lipstick Pink” appear from Summer to Autumn.

Height & Spread: 1 x 1m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H7: < -20ºC.

Soil: Any, moist but well-drained to poorly-drained soil.

Light: Full-sun to Part-shade.

Native Range: Horticultural Cultivar. 

Tidy after flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects. Related to UK native.
