Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Plant Sorting Pot

Sanguisorba – ‘Cally Pink’

Clumping, rhizomatous herbaceous perennial. Green pinnate leaves with toothed leaflets. Erect stems carry pink “bottle brush” flowers from Summer to early Autumn. Introduced by Cally Gardens, D&G.

Height & Spread: 1 x 0.5m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness:  H7: < -20ºC.

Soil:  Any, moist but well-drained soil.

Light:  Part-shade to Full-Sun.

Native Range: Horticultural Cultivar. 

Tidy after flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects. Related to UK native, probable food plant for over 20 UK native invertebrates.

This cultivar is registered as under Plant Heritage guardianship.
