Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Geranium pratense – Meadow Cranesbill

Clump forming herbaceous perennial. Hairy stems. Green palmately divided leaves. Lax inflorescences of violet-blue, five petaled flowers in Summer.

Height & Spread: 0.7 x 0.7m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H7: < -20ºC.

Soil: Any, moist but well-drained to well-drained soil.

Light: Full-sun to Part-shade.

Native Range: UK Native.

CARE & BENEFIT 

Dead-head to encourage repeat flowering or leave to self sow. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in Spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects. Food plant for around 20 UK invertebrates.
