Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Sanguisorba ‘Tanna’

Clumping herbaceous perennial. Forms a mound of crimped, blue-green, pinnate leaves. Upright stems carry dense, rounded spikes of deep red flowers in late Summer to early Autumn.

Height & Spread: 0.5 x 0.5m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H7: < -20ºC.

Soil: Any, moist but well-drained soil.

Light: Full-sun to Part-shade.

Native Range: Horticultural Cultivar.

CARE & BENEFIT 

Tidy after flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in Spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects. Related to UK native, probable food plant for over 20 UK native invertebrates.
