Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Centaurea montana ‘- Amethyst in Snow’

Spreading herbaceous perennial. Grey-green leaves with silvery hairs. Upright stems carry white thistle-like flowers with purple centers in late Spring to Summer.

Height & Spread:0.5 x 1m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H7: < -20ºC.

Soil: Any, moist but well-drained soil.

Light: Full-sun to Part-shade.

Native Range: Horticultural Cultivar. 

Dead-head to encourage repeat flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in spring.

Attractive to Pollenators. Related to a European Native. Probable food plant for up to 9 UK invertebrates.
