Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Plant Sorting Pot

Eutrochium maculatum – ‘Glutball’

Upright, clumping , herbaceous perennial. Dark purple stems. Neat whorls of lanceolate leaves with dark purple mid-ribs. Large terminal clusters of deep pink flowers appear in mid Summer in to Autumn.

Height & Spread: 2 x 1m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H7: < -20ºC.

Soil: Any, moist but well-drained to poorly-drained soil.

Light: Full-sun to Part-shade.

Native Range: Horticultural Cultivar.

CARE & BENEFIT 

Dead-head after flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in Spring.

Highly attractive to many pollinators.
