Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Heliopsis helianthoides – Smooth Ox-eye

Robust, upright herbaceous perennial. Lance shaped leaves and rich yellow flowers up to 5cm across from July to September.

Height & Spread: 1.2 x0.7m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H7: < -20ºC.

Soil: Any, moist but well-drained to well-drained soil.

Light: Full-sun to Part-shade.

Native Range: C & E N. America. 

Cut back after flowering and before regrowth starts in spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects.
