Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Plant Sorting Pot

Lythrum salicaria – ‘Robin’

Erect, clumping, herbaceous perennial. Linear to lance-shaped, mid to dark green leaves. Branching stems bear spike-like racemes of deep pink to purple-pink flowers from early Summer into early Autumn.

Height & Spread: 1 x 0.5m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H7: < -20ºC.

Soil: Any, moist but well-drained to poorly-drained soil.

Light: Full-sun to Part-shade.

Native Range: Cultivar of UK Native.

Tidy after flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects. Related to UK native. Probable food plant for around 50 UK invertebrates.
