Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Rudbeckia mollis – Softhair Coneflower

Erect, clumping, herbaceous perennial. Erect stems with softly hairy ovate leaves carry the yellow, black centred flowers from Summer into Autumn.

Height & Spread: 1.2 x 0.5m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H4: -10 to -5ºC.

Soil: Any, well-drained soil.

Light: Full-sun.

Native Range: S N. America.

CARE & BENEFIT 

Dead-head to prolong flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in Spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects. This cultivar is registered as under Plant Heritage guardianship.
