Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Rudbeckia laciniata – Cut-leaved Coneflower

Erect, rhizomatous perennial. Deeply divided leaves. Large (to 4″) yellow flowers with prominent central cones in Summer.

Height & Spread: 2.5 x 1.5m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness:  H6: -20 to -15ºC

Soil:  Any, moist but well-drained soil.

Light:  Full-sun.

Native Range: N. America. 

Dead-head to encourage repeat flowering or leave to self sow. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects.
