Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Thalictrum aquilegiifolium – French Meadow Rue

Upright, herbaceous perennial. Divided, Aquilegia-like Blue-green leaves. Dense terminal clusters of fluffy purple flowers in late Spring to Summer.

Height & Spread: 1.5 x 0.5m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness: H5: -15 to -10ºC.

Soil: Non-calcerous, moist but well-drained soil.

Light: Part-shade.

Native Range: Europe to W. Asia.

CARE & BENEFIT 

Tidy after flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in Spring.

Attractive to Pollenators & beneficial insects.
