Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Thalictrum flavum ssp. glaucum – Glaucous-leaved Yellow Meadow Rue

Robust, upright herbaceous perennial.Glaucous green pinnate leaves. Branched clusters of fluffy yellow flower flowers in Summer.

Height & Spread: 1.5 x 0.5m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness:  H7: < -20ºC.

Soil:  Any, moist but well-drained to poorly-drained soil.

Light:  Full-sun to Part-shade.

Native Range: SW. Europe. 

Dead-head after flowering. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in spring.

Attractive to Pollenators. Related to Uk Native. Probable food plant for around 15 UK invertebrates.
