Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Thermopsis montana – Mountain Goldenbanner

Rhizomatous, herbaceous perennial. Silky silvery-blue-green three lobed leaves. Spikes of Broom-like yellow flowers in early Summer and sometimes Autumn.

Height & Spread: 1 x 1m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness:  H6: -20 to -15ºC.

Soil:  Any, moist but well-drained soil.

Light:  Full-sun to Part-shade.

Native Range: W N. America. 

Dead-head to encourage repeat flowering or leave to self sow. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in spring.

Attractive to Pollenators.
