Our Plants

We grow hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.

All plants are grown from scratch on site, are peat and pesticide free and use organic methods.

Polemonium – ‘North Tyne’

Clumping, upright, herbaceous perennial. Ladder like pinnate leaves. Stiff stems carry deep lilac flowers with yellow stamens from late Spring to Summer. Introduced by Chipchase in Northumberland.

Height & Spread: 1 x 0.5m in 2-5 years.

Hardiness:  H7: < -20ºC.

Soil:  Any, moist but well-drained soil.

Light:  Full-sun to Part-shade.

Native Range: Horticultural Cultivar. 

Dead-head to encourage repeat flowering or leave to self sow. Cut down spent flowering stems and damaged leaves as the new emerge in spring.

Attractive to Bees.

This cultivar is registered as under Plant Heritage guardianship.
